Student Visas are for people who wish to come to Australia to undertake an approved course of study. These temporary visas allow people to come to Australia for study purposes. In some cases, a guardian can accompany the student. These vias the Student Visa Subclass 500 and the Student Guardian Visa Subclass 590
Student Visa
Subclass 500
You will need evidence of intended course of study. You must have sufficient funds for your stay. You must be a genuine student. If you are under 18 you will need evidence of arrangements for accommodation and general welfare. You may be required to pass an English test.
Student Guardian Visa
Subclass 590
You will need to be nominated by a student and provide accommodation and support for the student. You and the nominating student must genuinely intend to reside together. Only one Guardian 590 visa is permitted per student.
