Some other available visas include Resident Return visas, a Former Resident visa, a Protection visa, a Medical Treatment visa, a New Zealand Family Relationship visa and Bridging visas. The Return Resident visas and Former Resident visa are for Australian permanent residents and former Australian permanent residents to travel in and out of Australia or to return to Australia after an extended period. Protection visas are for people who are likely to suffer serious or significant harm if returned to their home country. Medical Treatment visas are for people to undergo medical treatment/procedure or to support someone in this situation. New Zealand Family Relationship visas are for people who are members of, or were formerly members of, a family unit of a New Zealand citizen. Bridging visas allow people to remain in Australia while their immigration matter is resolved
Resident Return Visas
Subclasses 155 and 157
The visa Subclasses 155 and 157 allow Australian permanent residents, former Australian permanent residents and former Australian citizens to return to Australia when their permission to travel to Australia has lapsed.
You must be an Australian permanent resident, a former Australian permanent resident or a former Australian citizen.
With visa Subclasses 155 and 157, you can return to Australia as a permanent resident. You can travel in and out of Australia for a set period. This time period will be 5 years, 1 year or 3 months, depending on your circumstances and your time spent in Australia

Former Resident Visa
Subclass 151
The Subclass 151 visa is for people who have spent at least half of their life before turning 18 years of age in Australia or people who have served in the Australian defence service.
You must be under 45 years of age and have spent at least half of your life when you were under 18 years of age in Australia as a permanent resident or served in the Australian defence service. In most cases, if you served in the Australian defence service you must have served for at least 3 months. If you served in the Australian defence service, you do not need to be under 45 years of age.
With the Subclass 151 visa, you can live, work and study in Australia permanently

Protection Visa
Subclass 866
The Subclass 866 visa is for people who have a well-founded fear of persecution or will suffer significant harm in their home country.
You must have arrived in Australia legally with a valid visa. You must have a well-founded fear of persecution that will result in serious harm because of your race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion or are likely to suffer significant harm, such as death, torture or inhuman treatment in your home country for another reason.
With the Subclass 866 visa, you can live, work and study in Australia permanently

Medical Treatment Visa
Subclass 602
The Subclass 602 visa allows people to undergo medical treatment in Australia, organ donation or to support another person for medical treatment. In some cases, this visa is also for people who are over 50 years of age and unfit to depart Australia and people from the Western Province of Papua New Guinea.
You must have a medical reason to be in Australia, or you will be supporting someone with a medical reason to be in Australia.
With the Subclass 602 visa, you can stay in Australia for medical reasons. The duration of your permitted stay will be determined based on your circumstances

New Zealand Family Relationship Visa
Subclass 461
The Subclass 461 visa is for people who are partners, children, or stepchildren of New Zealand citizens, or who were previously partners, children, or stepchildren of New Zealand citizens.
You must not be a New Zealand citizen. You must be the partner, child or stepchild of a New Zealand citizen, or you were previously a partner, child or stepchild of a New Zealand citizen. In most cases, the New Zealand citizen must have arrived in Australia after 26 February 2001. If you are in Australia when you apply, you must have held a substantive visa in the last 12 months.
With the Subclass 461 visa, you can stay in Australia for a period of 5 years. You will be permitted unrestricted travel in and out of Australia. This visa is a temporary visa. However, in most cases, you can apply for a new Subclass 461 visa after 5 years

Bridging Visas A, B, C, E
Subclasses 010, 020, 030, 050, 051
Bridging visas allow you to remain in Australia while your immigration matter is resolved. There are various bridging visa subclasses. The bridging visa subclass that you can be granted depends on your situation. For example, a different bridging visa subclass applies if you hold a visa than if a significant time has passed since your visa expired.
You must be in Australia to be granted a bridging visa.
With bridging visas, you can remain in Australia while your visa is assessed or your immigration status is determined
